About these terms
These terms govern purchases and use of wafi.co, operated by WAFI, West African Farmers Initiative, New York, USA (“WAFI”, “we”, “us”). By placing an order or using the site you agree to them. Questions: info@wafi.co.
Products and orders
We sell roasted coffee and related goods at retail through this site, and green coffee and other commodities at wholesale by separate arrangement through our trade desk. Retail prices are shown in US dollars. Placing an order is an offer to buy; we confirm acceptance by email. We may cancel and refund any order we cannot fulfill, for example a stock error, and we roast in small lots, so quantities can be limited.
Pre-orders and shipping
Some products are offered as pre-orders with an estimated ship date shown on the product (for example, a stated “ships” date). Estimated dates are our good-faith projections from harvest and roasting schedules and can shift; we’ll notify you of material delays. Once shipped, delivery times depend on the carrier. Risk of loss passes to you on delivery to the carrier; title passes on payment in full.
Returns and refunds
Coffee is a perishable good, so we can’t accept returns of opened bags. If your order arrives damaged, defective, or wrong, email us at info@wafi.co within 14 days of delivery with your order number and a photo, and we’ll make it right with a replacement or refund. Unopened bags in original condition may be returned within 14 days of delivery; return shipping is the buyer’s responsibility unless the error was ours.
Payments
Payments are processed securely by our payment providers (WooPayments / Stripe). We never see or store your full card details. You represent that you are authorized to use the payment method provided.
Wholesale
Wholesale and trade transactions, including green coffee, cocoa, and other commodities, are negotiated individually and governed by the specific contract, invoice, or trade confirmation for that transaction, which prevails over these terms where they differ.
Newsletter and content
Subscribing to our Trade & Field newsletter is free and you may unsubscribe at any time. All content on this site, including text, photography, and branding, belongs to WAFI and may not be reproduced commercially without permission.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim relating to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA. Any disputes will be handled in the courts located in New York.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time; the current version will always live at this address and applies to orders placed after it is posted.
